    Homestead Housing Authority, 29355 South Federal Highway, Homestead FL 33033

    Separate sealed BIDS for the construction of,

    Refer to attached Exhibit ‘A”, Scope of Work.

    Will be received by Mr. Shane White, at the office of Homestead Housing Authority located at the above address, until 2:00 pm, May 10, 2018, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.

    The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined at the above location. Copies of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be obtained at the above location.

    EXHIBIT “A” SCOPE OF WORK

    The Scope of Work shall include the COMPLETE demolition of nineteen (19) buildings. Contractor will be responsible for any and all cost associated with the Asbestos removal known to exist within certain buildings. An Asbestos Buildings Survey has been conducted by Dynatech Engineering Corporation to determine the presence of Asbestos Containing Building Materials (ACBM). All Bidders shall research the attached Survey to ascertain which buildings were found to contain ACBM and employ as part of their Scope of Work the services of a certified asbestos abatement contractor to perform the removal and disposal of said materials.

    The Contractor shall erect a new 6'-0" high construction chain link fence with gates and shall repair portions of an existing fence that will encompass the perimeter of two distinct and parcels where the demolition of all buildings is to take place. Please refer to the demolition Site Plan and Demolition notes included within the site plan for overall Scope of Work.

    Contractor shall visit the Project Sites and perform a walkthrough inspection with the Owner in order to familiarize and identify the buildings that require demolition. Contractor shall arrange with the local utility companies the disconnection, removal and capping of all utility services affected by the demolition. Contractor is to locate electrical service mains, underground water and sewer lines, water meters and valves and main gas lines if applicable prior to commencement of demolition work

    This project will be Federally Assisted through the USDA Rural Development Administration and as such Bidders must comply with all applicable Federal, State and local laws and ordinances.

    The Architect and Owner reserve the right to waive or reject any and all bids, or waive any or all irregularities.
